But how do you CHANGE, how do you get better if you have no idea what you sound like and you don’t ANALYZE your strengths and weaknesses.

How do you CHANGE if you don’t know what to IMPROVE?

This is something professional salesmen in the big corporations do. So, why not us? That’s what we are now. WE’RE SALESMEN. We sell ourselves, so we ACT and PERFORM like salesmen.

No single action has helped me improve my phone skills like recording my phone calls and listening back to them.

I’ve been able to improve the tone of my voice, assess my elevator pitch, modify my line of questioning, improve the cadence of speech and much, much more.

You may ask the legality of recording your phone calls…my answer to that is WHO CARES!? It’s not for anyone else BUT YOU and YOUR self improvement. In my state at least, you can record to your heart’s content. Look around, by the way…anytime you go outside you’re being recorded…SO GET OVER IT!

I’ve tried multiple voice recording apps and NOT MANY OF THEM WORK!

I use one called Cube ACR – it’ll cost you $25 a year but it’s an app that works and it will pay for itself -with better communication, MORE SALES.

When you download this app onto your phone, it will record your calls AUTOMATICALLY and store them on the cloud and also on your phone’s hard drive. The app is very easy to use, after you jump through a few hoops during set up.

Start listening back to your conversations and analyzing where you can improve. Get comfortable with the sound of your voice and what you say.

Better yet, have someone else analyze your sales calls. I can help you with that.

I’ll notice things that you may not.

You won’t improve if you don’t ANALYZE and DIAGNOSE.
